The Power of Community - The Woman Entrepreneur Journey Part 1

Lately I have been thinking back on my own entrepreneur journey lately.  How excited I was in the beginning, filled with the hope of new possibilities, the spark of a new dream life, and how amazing it would be. It did not take much time for as they say for 'buyer’s remorse' to set in.  Slowly but surely, reality set in.

To me starting a business is kind of like most marriages. First there was a honeymoon period, you know when you are so in love it's really hard to know what's real and what's not. Everyone and everything is amazing. You just hope this romantic, heart swooning love you share lasts forever.

Oops, then life sets in, not so romantic. Then my friends got in the mix, fueling the fire within me of self-doubt, worry, and fear sending me down the path of wonder if maybe I was not up for the challenge of business ownership.

What I have learned over the years about my woman entrepreneurship journey and by watching and participating in other women's entrepreneur journey is the weather, landscape, and road conditions are equally important. I know what you are saying in your head right now is "What?" so let's take a quick look.

The weather is sometimes stormy, very stormy like the feelings inside you. Are you sad, depressed? Struggling with lack confidence, filled with fear of failure, and self-worth slowing you down?

The landscape is what you surround yourself with every day, the people are they for you or against you? The experience of others around you, are they successful business owners or something else? Are you educated in business success strategies?

The road conditions can be bumpy, filled with potholes, derailments, and detours. Sometimes it is hard to find your way back without the help of a someone more experienced, a mentor or coach.

Alone, your entrepreneur journey is filled with failure, self-doubt, and fear, it is so easy to lose your way in the darkness of your entrepreneur journey.

Being part of a women entrepreneur mentoring collective community is transforming in ways you could have never imagined for you and your business paving the way for you to move forward towards a resilient business just like you have been dreaming of.
  • With the support of a women entrepreneur collective you are accountable, strong, inspired, and motivated.  In a collective you share ideas, learn from each other’s experiences, and connect to new business resources.
  • With the support of a women entrepreneur community you feel more cared for, become stronger, more determined, and more powerful. You become so much more than you thought you could be. The community supports you as you lean into the business you always dreamed of celebrating your accomplishments with you.
I have learned, we all can accomplish so much more when we are part of a community of women entrepreneurs who are caring, supportive, inspiring, and moving forward than you can alone. In a community you have the collective strength, encouragement, and support to successfully navigate your women entrepreneur business journey.

The power of not going it alone as a woman entrepreneur is you become better and your business becomes bigger than you ever believed possible.
