You Don't Have to Climb Alone: Let’s Celebrate the Power of "Us" This January
But before we dive headfirst into strategy and spreadsheets, let's pause for a moment and discuss the heart of the Women's Entrepreneur Excellence Experience. In 2025 year-end, we hit a huge milestone, 100 women have participated in the mentoring program. So, now I think it's a good time to talk about us from the point of view of your mentor.
January isn't just the start of the year; it’s National Mentoring Month.
As your mentor, I often tell you that building a business can feel like climbing a mountain in the fog. You know the peak is up there, but you can’t always see the next foothold.
Mentorship is the rope. It’s the voice ahead of you saying, "Watch out for that loose rock," and the hand reaching back to pull you up when your energy fades. It’s the difference between struggling alone and succeeding together.
This January, let’s lean into that connection. Mark these dates in your shiny new 2026 planners. They aren't just holidays; they are reminders of the powerful ecosystem you are building around your business.
Here is how we are celebrating this month:
January 7: I Am a Mentor Day
This is a special day for me, because it’s when I get to reflect on the absolute privilege of being in your corner.
Being a mentor isn't about having all the answers; it’s about asking the right questions so you can find your own brilliance. Watching you have those "A-ha!" moments and seeing your confidence grow is the best ROI I could ask for. Thank you for trusting me with your dreams.
January 14: Thank Your Mentor Day
Gratitude is powerful business fuel. Today, I challenge you to look back at your journey.
Who believed in your idea before it made a dime? Who gave you that tough love feedback that actually saved your launch? Maybe it was a formal business coach, a former boss, or even a wise family member. Send the text. Write the email. Send a handwritten note. Let them know their investment in you paid off. It feels incredible to receive that message, trust me.
January 17: International Mentoring Day
This is the day we zoom out. The C2 Your Health Women's Initiative (C2YHWI) community is incredible, but remember, we are part of something even bigger. A movement.
Across the globe, women are lifting other women up. When you succeed here, you inspire someone halfway across the world who is watching your journey online. Today, celebrate that you are part of a global movement of women taking ownership of their economic futures.
January 20: Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service
Dr. King taught us that "Life's most persistent and urgent question is, 'What are you doing for others?'"
In the business world, mentorship is service. It is the act of pouring your experience into someone else's cup without expecting anything in return.
Today, think about how your business serves. And perhaps, think about who you could mentor. Is there someone just two steps behind you who needs a little encouragement? You don't need to be a millionaire to be a mentor; you just need to be willing to share what you learned yesterday.
January 27: Thank Your Mentee Day
Okay, this is my favorite one. This is where I turn the tables on you.
Thank YOU.
Thank you for showing up to our sessions ready to work. Thank you for being vulnerable about your fears and bold with your ambitions.
The truth about mentorship is that it’s a two-way street. You teach me something new every single time we connect. Your resilience inspires me, and your fresh perspective keeps me sharp. You push me to be a better mentor just by being such dedicated mentees.
This month, let’s commit to not just building businesses, but building bridges to one another. The climb is so much easier—and so much more fun—when we do it together.
Let’s make 2026 legendary.
