3 Tips How to Network Attracting People to Your Facebook (social media) to Grow Your Business
Bottom line: Marketing these days is all about building relationships.
Remember people do business with those they know, like, respect and trust. To
do that you have to build relationships. If you have been pulling your hair out about
how to make connections, attract clients, and resources on Facebook or any
social media channel or you are not getting engagement, it is because people
simply do not feel connected to you!
#1 Who are you?
Have you
heard about personal branding? Therefore it is so important. Personal branding
lets others know who you are, what you stand for and what your view of the
world (vision) is for you.
- ·
What
is your VISION? (What main goal are you after?)
- ·
What
MESSAGE do you want to deliver to your audience?
- ·
What
SKILLS do you have now? (And which ones do you want to acquire?)
- ·
What
are some of your talents...things you are naturally good at?
- ·
What
excites you & can easily motivates you to look for more info?
- ·
What
motivates you?
- ·
Where
do you turn to for entertainment? (Music, movies, books, etc.)
- ·
What
could you talk about endlessly without ever getting tired of it?
Tip #2 Start a Conversation
Since most
good relationships are build on common interests and the only way to know what
your common interests are is to start a conversation. You do not need to make new friends to do
this, I am sure you have plenty right on Facebook to help you get started.
Go to your
list of FRIENDS, start at the beginning of the list with a simple opener:
- ·
“Hi,
hope you are having an awesome day!”
- ·
“It’s
been a while since we connected, let us reconnect!
- ·
“Catching
up with my friends, let’s meet for coffee!”
- ·
“Thinking
about something ……. I’d love your opinion.”
- ·
“What
have you been up to? I know it’s great, catch me up!”
The be sure to check your inbox!
What if the person does not answer your message? No worries, maybe they do not check their inbox messages? Or maybe they are too busy to make new friends? What ever the reason, it does not matter. NEXT! Move on. If you are really interested, then, wait a
couple weeks and start all over again.
#3 Check Your Inbox & Friend Requests
Now that you
have gotten attention and created interest with your profile (which I hope is
current with a nice picture) you will begin to get messages in your inbox.
Of course the
last thing you want to do is leave them sitting in limbo... waiting to be
confirmed by you. Check and confirm your requests fast. This allows you to
start interacting with your prospects immediately, while you are still fresh on
their mind.
Since you
are getting the request for new connections, your new relationships will feel
comfortable to you and them. Not “salesy” or “stalked”.
Happy Networking!
