wondered what would happen if I started taking my coffee cup with me to every
meetup I had with entrepreneurs in our community and documenting its travels?
Could a traveling cup help bind women and men together to empower and inspire our
women entrepreneur community? Could a traveling cup remind us of how magical
connecting to women entrepreneurs to each other can be? Could a traveling cup
mix in just a little playfulness to our women entrepreneur journey? Why

My traveling coffee cup is on the move, meeting with women entrepreneurs where they are, together sipping and mentoring our way to reaching their full potential as the leaders they are. Each meeting I have the cup will travel waiting to be filled to the brim with entrepreneur hopes, dreams, and inspiration.

Why coffee? There's something about a hot brew, the smells of faraway lands, citrus, chocolate, nutty so many flavors of opportunity. Then there's all the hard work that went into the growing, grinding, transporting, and brewing that happens before you even take the first sip. To me a cup of coffee is empowerment and inspiration in action.
Aside
from the tastiness of the magical brew I think you'll agree a lot can happen
over a cup of coffee especially when on a business "coffee date". At
coffee dates connections are made, relationships are built, and deals
sealed.
What
to grow your entrepreneur business faster? Try a coffee date. Lots of them! It
might even be safe to say the more purpose driven coffee dates you have the
faster your business will grow.

At
a coffee date a lot can be achieved when your coffee date is resourceful, has
the knowledge you're looking for, more tech savvy than you or has a connection
that could possibly help you.
On
many coffee dates while sitting and sipping across from someone I have grown to
know, like and respect I have learned to grow myself and my business. I have
received great advice, solicited opinions, and abandoned business ideas all at
a coffee date. I have received the best mentoring, coaching and advice over a
cup of coffee. Coffee dates are great for celebrating business accomplishments
too!
Even
though a coffee date on the surface doesn’t seem that deep, it's important not
to act haphazardly when making you next coffee date. As an entrepreneur, every
minute of your workday is important, not to be waisted consider a coffee date as
serious business as delicious and relaxing as it may be.
For me an invitation to coffee date
is my way of saying 'let’s get to know each other better and let's see if there
is something we can collaborate on now or in the future that will benefit us
both'. To me a coffee date is an opportunity to build new relationships and
reconnect at a by invitation only in an intimate setting, kind of like a caffeinated
mini-networking event.
There's a bit of caution that comes with setting your next
coffee date. One thing I have learned after hundreds of business building
coffee dates, like all relationships it's best to be discriminating who you
have your coffee date with. I don't believe in building relationships and
connections foolishly, it's just wasting your time and the person you are
sitting across from. Consider carefully before you plan your next coffee
date ask yourself 'what would be the best possible outcome for the both of us
on this coffee date?' Then calculate in your mind if your time will be well
spent before jolt into action.
So,
remember the next time you call the someone to set up a coffee date it's not
JUST a delicious cup of coffee. It's a cup filled with hope for a better
