International Women's Day originated out of the labor movements in North America and Europe during the early 20th century. The earliest version of "Women's Day"  gathering was allegedly in New York City February 28, 1909. 

Today March 8th, 2021 is set aside to celebrate women's achievements, to empower women moving forward and recognize there is still lots of work to be done near where you live and around the world. This day is dedicated to all women who have smashed the glass ceiling, taken a stand for, and given a voice to women who cannot speak for themselves.
